Hello! I'm trying to change the world one sock beastie at a time. I make stuffed animals out of socks...mostly monkeys, but be on the lookout for octopi, cats, monsters, faeries, etc. I sell my wares on etsy.com, the ultra-awesome website for buying and selling handmade goods. For each item I sell on etsy, $1 plus 10% will go straight to The Gentle Barn (www.gentlebarn.org). This is an animal rescue facility in Santa Clarita, CA. In addition to giving a loving home to many abused and neglected animals, they also have programs for at-risk and special-needs youth. I've visited this facility and got to meet many of its residents. It was a heartwarming experience.
In addition making my beasties, I'm and old married lady and I love to camp and hike, take pictures, love on my kitties Prysm and Ember, and go to Renaissance Faires. I'm an environmentalist, vegan and passionate animal lover and I love to cook. I love supporting struggling artists and local businesses and I try to remain as non-corporate as possible.

Vote yes on prop 2, California! It's about time thinking, feeling animals had enough room to turn around and spread their limbs, as opposed to a short, brutal life of cramped conditions knee deep in feces.
