I am a mechanic/fabricator. I work at a company that sells, builds and services wheelchair lifts and vehicles for transporting physically challenged people.I grew up in Marion NC in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. That is where I grew my love for high and rocky places. After high school I spent 4 years in the Air Force as a hydraulics mechanic on the C-5 Galaxy at Travis AFB in Northern California. Later I went to school at the Northrup Grumman Newport News Shipbuilding Apprentice School where I learn machine work. I transferred to the advanced apprentice program and finished the five year program as a Marine Designer. I learned alot about computer design and 3D modeling. However I am not one to sit behind a desk so I went back to the maintenance field and a Millwright Mechanic. We (wife and kids) moved to Richmond in 05 as I started a job at Paramount's King's Dominion. I worked there for a year as a rides mechanic. I grew tired of the same ole same ole and now work for Mobility Center of Virginia. I like the job a lot because I get to work on a varity of things and do all aspect of the jobs from welding to wiring.I love being a dad, love married life. My wife is the greatest. She keeps me straight. I am like a big kid. We have two Wonderfull kiddie, Shelby 12 and Jonah 4. They are to coolest. Shelby is a straight A student and loves horses. Jonah AKA Squirt keeps us busy. We nicknamed him hurricane Jonah because he blows through the house destroying everything he touches.I am very passionate about metalworking. I love learning new techniques and designing machines to make my jobs easier. I build lots of VW accessories from tow bars for bus to reproduction Hurst Bumpers. I tinker with the four VWs we own and spend weekends during the summer at Full Moon Bus Club campouts. I hit up VW shows now and then.
