GROOVE PHENOMENON (DJ Set)

History:
The project GROOVE PHENOMENON emerged by an idea of Matthias “Mat” Holtmann.
Mat, who had been already a member of the earliest movements of electronic music and achieved through his contribution events such as Time Warp, took place together in 2007 with producer Dennis Bierbroth. Dennis and Mat presented the start of their cooperation by the production of their first publication “Funky Radio (Radio Ga Ga 2007)”, a reworking of the Queen classic of 1984. The single appeared with a lot of popular district of their colleagues in time for Christmas 2007 on Ministry Of Sound (Germany).
Mat served alongside a few other projects. In the beginning of the year 2008 he met the DJ “Coco Rock” at a party near his hometown. A direct sympathy connected the both right away. From the sympathy a good friendship developed.
In summer, 2008 Coco and Mat travelled by Ibiza. Their good collaboration behind the decks moved the both to form a DJ Duo under the pseudonym of GROOVE PHENOMENON (DJ Set).
While Coco brings the flair of the new Tech-House and Progressive wave, Mat loves to play old classics of the “Old School”, which are rockin' the floors then as now.
Their DJ debut Coco and Mat gave in the well known Monday – radioshow from „Ministry of Sound “ on „Radio Sunshine Live”. Since then the both play together at every conceivable minute the Floor...
In the beginning of 2009 appears the new publication „Non, je ne regrette rien“ on Toolroom Records UK.
