About Me

..

I'm a side-guy- a freelance electric and upright bassist that loves to play music, groove and perform. I've been doing that since I was a kid. It is a great way to keep my spirits high and to make people happy. I also compose material for myself and others.

My Interests

Music:

Band Members: Engelhardt upright bass electric 4 fretless (MVP Buzz),5 MVP V Pedulla, Kramer 1980 Kramer XL9 and my delightful 6 string Citron NT6. In addition I have started to work the Chapman Grand Stick into my writing and soon performance. New projects with featuring some of my favorite musicians to come in 2008 and 2009.
Influences: The usual suspects Squire, Verdeen, Bootsy, Jamerson, Marcus, Jeff Berlin, Stanley, Jaco, Victor Wooten (and family), but I am also inspired and influenced by my fellow stagemates. It is completely rewarding to vibe with others, creating something very special out of the air. I've also been deeply influenced by all my teachers, some of which formally occupied that role some didn't.
Sounds Like: Not quite sure. Depends who I'm playing with. I try to make what I play work for who I'm playing with. Come out, see a show, say hi and help me put something here.

Beetsy and PorkChop
