About me...I moved to LA (from Sweden) a few years ago...Before I moved here, I spent a few years as a Maternity Nurse, traveling and working my way around Europe, Asia, Australia and the Middle East...If I had a Native American Name it would be "She-of-No-Fixed-Address" or "She-Who-Comes-With-Luggage" ...I've visited over 50 countries, lived in 23, and because of that I'm really open minded and interested in learning about different cultures. I'm taking a break from nursing because I was tired of the insane hours-- Right now I'm working as a nanny and I'm so much happier! I love getting paid to play and cuddle and have fun all day:-) On my days off, I volunteer my time as a "Big Sister" and also in the Oncology Dept. of Childrens Hospital LA. I'm also part of the Heart Touch Massage Project and provide massage therapy for infants in the Center for Newborn and Infant Critical Care, and also provide training for their parents. CHLA is always looking for more volunteers, so if you're interested please let me know...Sorry for the plug, but it's for a good cause! My friends would describe me as super loyal, genuine and down to earth- I'm definitely not superficial, and probably wouldn't get on well with someone who is...Integrity & intelligence are alot more important to me than what kind of car you drive or who you know...I love to pack my bags and go on a last minute adventure, alone or with friends- all I need is my passport...And maybe a map...When I lived in Europe, on my days off I wouldn't just leave the house- I'd leave the country:) My best friends live in Sweden, Italy, France, Spain and Austria-- I try to visit 2-3 times/year, and back home to Canada to see my awesome friends & family as often as possible:)
