About me. I moved out of my home town on Long Island to Texas in February 2006! My brother moved here 5 years ago and when I visited him I fell in love. The weather is great, the houses are huge but I am missing one thing. My friends! If I could have all my friends and family live in the same place for the rest of my life I would be in heaven. But since LI is soo freaking expensive this was not going to happen. I was laid off from my job of 6 years in October 05. The company was relocating to Pennsylvania and there was no way in hell I was going there. I took a few months off just enjoying life with my friends and family and especially my sister and her new baby Cristian. In January 06' I started to contemplate whether looking for a job in NY was even worth it. I could get a job and continue to rent but I knew there would be no way I would be saving and eventually when the time came to want to buy a house I wasn't going to be able to do it on LI. So the idea of moving to Texas came into play. So Feb. 15th I packed up and left NY. My sister, her husband and their baby bought a house and moved here in Augusy 06'. My mom and dad had a house built and that was done in Dec. Unfortunately the dreams and plans we had we severely interrupted in January 07 when my mom was diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer. They moved into their dream home in Dec. All while my mom was sick in the hospital. She started radiation and chemo in January but the cancer she had was just too agressive and she lost her battle on July 17, 2007. The last few months have been the hardest on me and my family. I never ever thought this would happen to me. I don't know why, I guess I was naive. My mom was the best. Not only my mother but my best friend. I ache without her and still can't believe she is not here. She was way too young and had too much to live for. She loved her husband, her children and her grandchildren more than anyone.Myspace Backgrounds
