Hello out there. My name is Steffen. My main music project is Technoir since 1998. Some of you may also know me as the live keyboarder for Plastic Noise Experience.
I am finally back to life, after having finished the new LP "Deliberately Fragile".... ;-)
I dedicate most of my spare time to music... I had piano lessons when I was 8 years old, then, at the age of 16 my interest grew towards more minimal and electronic music. I think "Everything Counts" was one of the first songs that left a deep impression on me, but I only started producing music with electronic equipment in 1994. My early musical experiments were mainly influenced by bands like Front242, Depeche Mode & Deine Lakaien. In 1996 I started to play live for PNE, and recorded a six track EP with "your schizophrenic pal" under the name "Eigenspace". Meanwhile my ambition to release own music grew. Today, some of my stuff is still unreleased (and that's good for some reason ;-) ). The first official release was the Technoir single "Requiem", after I had found Julia as a singer.Eigenspace:
