Mic and the Music

The Mic and the Music is a collaborative recording project between producer Eric Krasno (Soulive) and Breez Evahflowin’ (NYC Stronghold crew). The two began the project in the spring of 2003 after being introduced through a mutual friend. Ever since Kraz and Breez have been in the studio working hard trying to create a mid-point between good instrumentation, samples and solid Hip-Hop. The Mic & The Music EP was the first 10 course serving from 20 songs developed for The Mic & The Music Project. The EP featured guest appearances by Chali 2na (Jurassic 5) and Reggie Watts (Maktub) as well as Kraz’ Lettuce partners Ryan Zoidis and Rashawn Ross on horns, Adam Deitch on drums and Soulive’s Neal Evans on keys. In 2008 The Mic & The Music will continue to evolve as we explore new ways of delivering the vibes to the masses. We'll be opening up the studio process with a fully interactive music experience.
