Riddle Music Group

About Me

In 1999, William Riddle, Jr. formed Riddle Music Publishing, and its affiliated companies, Plummer Branch (BMI) and Kay's Branch (ASCAP). This new venture was created to continue the music publishing efforts surrounding the growing song catalog that had first been developed and acquired though Bill Riddle's former companies- BigFish Entertainment, Hookline East (ASCAP), BigFish Nashville Songs (BMI), and Reel In Music (BMI). The collective music publishing catalog for the company now includes nearly 450 songs, with over 30 artist cuts including In Another World, a top 10 single by Joe Diffie that also earned BMI and ASCAP Song of the Year awards.
Jeb Stuart Anderson is a staff writer and song plugger for Riddle Publishing. He is originally from Van Vleet, Mississippi, a rural farming community in the northeastern part of the state. After playing in various bands in high school and college, he moved to Nashville, TN in 1991 to pursue a career in songwriting and music publishing. Upon completing an internship at BMG Songs, Jeb graduated from the University of North Alabama with a Commercial Music Degree. He later served as a Professional Manager with Affiliated Publishers Incorporated (API) and McGraw Music, all while writing songs and eventually making the switch to writing full time. Over the years, Jeb has had several of his songs recorded by independent and major label artists. To date, his most successful songs are the two number 1 singles “I Like It, I Love It” by Tim McGraw, and “Bigger Than The Beatles” by Joe Diffie. Jeb resides in Franklin, TN with his wife Anna and their three children, Owen, Tate, and Mary-Jenkins.
Jan Linville signed with Riddle Publishing in 1999 after a one year deal at BigFish Entertainment. She is a Nashville native, Battle Ground Academy graduate and has a BS degree in advertising/public relations from MTSU. She began writing music at age 18, had her first independent cut at age 19, and has since had cuts by Matt Kennon, Zane Lewis, The Michael Stacey Band, Crista Lynn, Matt Bailie, BJ Cooper, Rivershyne, Andy Martin, Sulcer Evans, Eddie Barber and others.
Bryan Fogle signed on as a staff writer for Riddle Publishing in October 2008. He is originally from Columbus, IN and has a Telecommunications/Advertising degree from Indiana University. Soon after graduation, Bryan moved to Jacksonville, FL and played the singer/songwriter circuit in North Florida, developing his writing skills along the way. He commuted back and forth to Nashville for several years before moving to Franklin, TN with his wife, Leigh, and their two children, Meredith and Grant. He has independent cuts by The Michael Stacey Band, Rivershyne, Kate Sansing and the Grambo Brothers.
Angela Engelman is a singer/songwriter from Nashville and credits Reba and Wynonna as musical influences from an early age. She started singing in church when she was 6 years old and served as the music leader for the youth group at age 17. She made it to the regional competition in the 2006 season of Nashville Star and to the finals of the first season of The Next GAC star in 2008. Signed as a staff writer in December '08, Angela also is a song plugger for the company.
Sulcer Evans recently signed with Riddle Publishing as a staff writer. He is a singer/songwriter from Shepherdsville, KY and now lives in Nashville. He performs regularly in the Louisville and Nashville areas and has opened for many artists including Gary Allan, David Allan Coe, Little Big Town, Darryl Worley, Craig Morgan, John Anderson, Jason Michael Carroll and others. He credits his success thus far to the loving support of his wife and family... .. .. .. .. ....
