About Me

Juan Manuel Corona

Was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. Though Juan’s affinity for music extends deep into his childhood, it wasn’t until he was 15 years old that he entertained the possibility of becoming a musician. Initially, Juan took an active role in music as a classical violinist. The next major step he took was playing in his high school band. During the fall and winter he performed with the concert band, and throughout the spring and summer he had a position with the marching band. In what would be a sign of things to come, Juan was an eclectic musician at this age, performing with such distinct instruments as the snare, mallets, percussion, and xylophone. In 1992, Juan graduated high school and enrolled in Los Angeles Community College (LACC) to pursue a degree in music.

While attending LACC, Juan was heavily involved with piano and choir, eventually attaining the position of captain of the tenors. During this period of his life, Juan was also the bassist in a jazz band. However, Juan soon realized that it wasn’t imperative to get a degree in music and promptly transferred to International Technical Institute (ITT) to study electronics engineering.

While working on his Bachelor of Arts at ITT, Juan had a partnership with a local music store and taught private lessons for various musical instruments as well as vocals. After completing his BA, Juan was very confident of achieving success in the music industry. The combination of his skills as a performer and his degree in electronics engineering allowed him numerous options. In the years that followed college graduation, Juan was actively involved with all things in music. In addition to engineering and producing, Juan also performed live with an assortment of musical acts. Throughout his professional career, Juan has played with various noteworthy acts and has helped his students achieve their musical goals.
