I have the best of both worlds now.....

About Me

I am married to my best friend and have 2 amazing kids, compliments of my husband's divorce from his first marriage (he's had full custody since they were 8 months old and 3. They are in 1st and 5th grades and now have a little brother or sister on the way! Yep, my firstborn will be arriving late in 2007. We are all pretty excited and the kids are looking forward to having a little brother or sister running around. I'll be glad to have the help from not only them, but my hubbie as well since this will be Round 3 for him! He loves his kids like crazy and says he's happy to be having a baby with someone he truly loves. He's going to be a great daddy to this little one, just like he's been to his first two! For work, I'm a Registered Nurse in an Intensive Care Unit and love what I do. Too bad I waited so long to figure out what the hell I wanted to do with my life! I miss some of my old friends like crazy and am hoping to run across them here. There's a lot more to me than meets the eye, but the internet just isn't big enough........

My Interests

| View Show | Create Your OwnI'm currently learning how to play the guitar, love snowboarding, skiing, hiking, camping, dancing, reading, my photography (would someone please donate some cash so I can buy my digital SLR I've been lusting after??), looking at taking belly dancing classes, going to the gym, playing with my kiddos, and anything that makes me laugh. It's what I do best when I'm not being a moody bitch!

I'd like to meet:

These are the most important people I've been blessed to know:
a target="_BLANK"

Music:

Some pics of the four-legged members of our family:
..

Movies:

Mallrats, Clerks, Clerks II, Fast Times at Ridgemont High, Swingers, American Beauty, Pretty in Pink, Chasing Amy, Heavy Metal, The Breakfast Club, Gone With the Wind, and The Shawshank Redemption....I'm sure there are others but they escape me at this moment.

Television:

I'm a television whore...I admit it. I have an incredibly stressful job and if I didn't have books, movies, and television to escape to when I can't get to the mountain and ride or escape in a tent by a lake for the week, I would end up in the loony bin. I enjoy mindless TV with the occasional educational show throw in: Desperate Housewives, Grey's Anatomy, House, Project Runway, American's Next Top Model (cheesy but great cat fights!), Intervention on A&E, and a myriad of other stupid shows. I also love, anything on Discovery Health channel and The Learning Channel....especially all the reality medical shows.

Books:

There is no way I can list my favorite books because I'm sure over the years, I've read thousand of books. I average 2-3 books a week and love books that deal with medical mysteries, true life crime, murder mysteries, and detective stories. I also love Anais Nin and Anne Rice when she's writing as A.N. Roquelaure. The Sleeping Beauty Trilogy books are porn, but beautifully written porn. Check them out if you find yourself needing a "pick me up"....ROFL. Still Life with Woodpecker by Tom Robbins is another favorite. I just finished reading Fast Food Nation and Don't Eat This Book...both fascinating reads (although I remain a lover of Mickey D's chicken nuggets, despite what I've learned...ROFL!!!!).

Heroes:

Sounds silly, but my husband. He truly is the most patient, loving person I've ever met. He's also the best father and husband. And hell, he's put up with me over the past years...that's enough to make ANYONE a hero!

A little common sense, people

About to head into the 2nd trimester!

I'm at the 12 week mark and although I still feel incredible fatigue most of the time, the nausea/vomiting hasn't been an issue for a while and my boobs don't hurt anymore!  I have noticed that a...

A more positive blog

After trying all my 2006 summer clothes and saw they were literally falling off me, I decided not only to weigh myself but to measure as well.  As I well know, scale weight means nothing, really....

Overwhelming guilt, tears, and sadness

I don't have it in me to write all my thoughts and feelings at the moment and the tears just get in my way, but suffice it to say the family has been torn apart today.  The kids are fine, Bill an...
