The Watts

About Me

Originally from Oxford, England, The Watts have been through many incarnations and reincarnations before landing in London to seek their fortunes and cause a nuisance.
Founder members Gudrun Getz (lead vocals and bass) and Will Shaman (vocals and guitar) have spent more years than they care to remember (or CAN remember...) playing blisteringly loud music in sweaty basements all in the name of decadence.
Their spiky brand of punk-club-ska-rock-blues-watt-the-hell-is-that-genre? music has inspired mass moshpit action, bountious booty shaking, hot chicks dressed up as monkeys and caused one of Maxine Carr's lawyers to exclaim "FUCK ME! THAT'S THE BEST FUCKING MUSIC I'VE EVER HEARD!".
Now, with the arrival of 3rd Watt-in-the-Making Ally Sedgwick (beats, percussion and backing vocals), and the hotly anticipated unveiling of The Wattettes, The Watts are ready to conquer the world as only they know how - with a monkey strapped to their chests as a parachute.
Watch out, because The Watts are here to flirt with your expectations and blow a big fat raspberry at them...
