Kareem Saviñon was born and raised in Washington Heights, New York. At a young age he and his mother would commute each morning by train into the city so he could attend an elementary school that offered him a better education and creative enrichment. While attending this school, Kareem performed in numerous plays and discovered his passion for acting. During a performance he was discovered by talent Manager, Karen Riposo. She knew he would be a star. She Quotes: Kareem was one of the most talented kids I have ever seen. He has great instinct and so much passion. He will be extremely successful. She then took him on as a client. He landed his first commercial at the age of 14, For Fao Schwartz. He continued performing until he went to college. He attended the University at Buffalo with hopes of becoming an Attorney. He managed to get his undergraduate degree in Political Science and a double minor in Marketing and Latino Studies. After graduation, he realized that his passion still lied in Acting, so instead of attending law school, he went back to New York City to pursue his dream of becoming an established actor.
