CHICAGO (Aug. 28, 2008) — Top hip-hop artists Twista, EPMD and Mic Terror will perform an intimate concert to raise awareness and speak out against the cruelty of dogfighting on September 24. At the show, The Humane Society of the United States will showcase its End Dogfighting in Chicago campaign through special appearances by the dogs and kids of its Pit Bull Training Team — Chicago.
Multi-platinum artist Twista partnered with The HSUS to support its effort to end dogfighting: “For dogfighters to take advantage of the loyalty that dogs have toward humans and make them fight each other — often to the death — is not only cruel, but it is a tragedy.â€
Tickets are on sale now and available at metrochicago.com, the Metro box office and at the door on the night of the show. Doors will open at 8 p.m. and the show will begin at 9 p.m.
