Destroying Saturday started in Spring on 2008 as previously knows as Dr. Fingers and the Fun Time Jamboree. G-Man (Brandon Grna) and R V3neGA$ (Rolando Venegas) played together in ex-band WE Know the Promise it Holds with G-Man on bass and R V3neGA$ on drums. The tables turned as G-Man took place behind the keys and R V3neGA$ once again behind the kit leaving the mix as a sophisticated kick in your face. Dr Fingers hit a set back in Summer of 2008 when drumer R V3neGA$ moved out of the state joing up with Las Vegas based bands. The two continued to write music over phone and sending ideas via email. In September of 08 R V3neGA$ made the move back to California to pursue future goals for the band. The name of the band brought question to both members so they turned to a song first written by the band as a duo including the lyrics "Destroying Saturday" which best described several weekends writing songs. Two words that have brough significance and can best desbribe the soothing chaosbrought by the clean tones of a piano and hard hitting beats of the drum.
