Bryan Bond's music is at once classic and progressive. Able to hang a song on the sweetest of notes one minute, this singer/songwriter will readily turn on a dime and fill your ears with driving rock 'n' roll the next.
Influenced by his Texas roots and a love for Brit-rock, Bryan Bond has created a uniquely satisfying sound filled with beautiful melodies and irrepressible hooks. While you may be able to detect elements of Radiohead, Travis and Oasis in his music, the end result is unique to Bond - a straightforward sound that appeals to a broad range of listeners.
Born and raised in Houston, Texas, Bond fell in love with music at an early age and remembers writing his first song at seven, the year his uncle gave him a guitar. "He probably just gave it to me to shut me up," Bond recalls. "All I would ever talk about as a kid was how I needed a guitar so I could play all of the songs I had rolling around in my head."
After playing his first club gig in Houston at the age of fourteen, Bryan was soon traveling the country. He cut his teeth in the Midwest, before electrifying audiences in Nashville, Tennessee. From there, Bond headed west to Los Angeles for a few years before returning to his native Texas.
Bryan is currently working on his full-length debut album. With his latest demo, Bryan digs deep to evoke a wide range of emotion. Up tempo and powerful songs such as "None Of My Business" and "Mutually Exclusive" are counter-balanced by the soulful ballad, "Lay It Down". He proves he is not afraid to recall heartbreak and conflict, or explore greater themes of friendship and fate.
Listening to Bond's music, one can't help but feel connected. As one listener put it, "It's like having a conversation with an old friend." An old friend, that is, who sticks with you long after the last note is played.
