As you probably have figured out Shadowed Beneath is dead. The Band officially broke up some time in the Fall of 2005.
From the ashes of the breakup three out of four original members have gone on to form a new band.

Dreadful Hours is a doom band with melodic elements to it. We are just beginning with this new band and look forward to playing shows and cutting a full length album in the near future.
Shadowed Beneath's music can usually be recognized by it's intricate melodies, guitar harmonies, powerful riffs, and trade-offs between death and clean vocals. No set pattern exists in their music, the only constant in the music is change. Some songs display a verse/chorus pattern, while others are more linear in nature. Shadowed Beneath's trademark sound originates from blending the lines between soft, atmospheric melodies and the more extreme aspects of metal. It is commonplace for bands to claim of "an original sound", Shadowed Beneath takes pride in actually doing so.
The song's available on myspace are a good representation of what Shadowed Beneath tries to encompass. These songs are all apart of the Your Grace EP, released in late 2004. Another Day Gone is the first song off the cd and shows the faster side of the band, with a verse/chorus pattern and the trade off between the two vocal types. Your Grace, on the other hand, shows the slow, melodic side of the band. Alone shows the heavier and more unique aspects of the bands music. Demons Inside exposes the roots of Shadowed Beneath, as it is one of the band's original songs that has made it's way through the evolution of the band. It is the perfect example of the mixture of two extremes that define Shadowed Beneath.
