As a child Psych Nasty grew up with very little money being raised by a single mom. She taught him to work hard, stay strong, and to respect others. She made him understand that God has given all of us talents but it was up to him to use them. He took his mother's advice and put his God given talents to use at an early age. During this time he fell in love with hip hop. Watching the fathers of hip hop perform is what developed his musical rhythm. One of his favorite pastimes was break dancing on cardboard boxes in the streets of Romulus, Mi. He participated in talent shows and began performing on stage singing and rapping. His cousin "Big Coolie" started a rap group called the "Alcatraz Riderz" and gave him the name "Psych Nasty". The group performed at many events and on stage Psych loved to come outside of himself and be a rapper. It was at this point that he realized he had a passion for acting and rapping and continued to act and rap through his high school years and was considered by his peers as the class clown. He was always very athletic, outgoing, and creative. Through the years he overcame many tribulations as he went through life without a father and resorted to the streets for the father figure he desired. Having his first born child at the age of 18 changed his life and thoughts about the streets. He realized he needed to apply the skills that he received from God towards success. In 2006 he met a friend that said he had a voice to be a solo rapper rather than a back up for his cousin. They began making songs in his friend’s living room. With his writing skills and early development of rhythm, rapping was easy for him. Stepping out on faith and determination, in May of 2008 he completed acting school at John Robert Powers. He then went on numerous auditions, and in the course of two months he received roles in eight films, one web series, and his own rap video. Today, Psych Nasty continues to live every moment as if it were his last, chasing his dreams with hard work and ambition!Myspace Layouts
