It only takes a single thought to move the world.

About Me

I'm pretty easygoing and mellow. I just graduated from CSU Long Beach with a Master of Social Work degree and I am ready to go out there and save the world!

I like to hang out with friends, read, go to concerts, eat good food, go drinking at times (jack & cokes is my drink of choice), watch sports, go outside and get some fresh air, and whatever else as long as I am with good company. I love all types of art and music, and I also dig the intellectual stuff...pretty much anything that is expressed through the creative mind and/or makes you think. And I would like to travel and explore and learn about different cultures.

Anything else you want to know, just ask. Thank ya.

My Interests

Family, friends, music, going to concerts, watching tv, learning about new shit I didn't know about before, poker, watching sports (basketball, football, baseball), poetry, video games, going to games, reading, learning about different cultures and languages, watching movies especially indie flicks and movies that make you think, sometimes partying, hanging out, going to art shows and galleries, museums, bbqs, beer is good, photography, eating, trying out new and different restaurants and dishes, although I do have a strong love for sushi...I love to eat, and almost anything else as long as I am in good company.

I'd like to meet:

Anyone that is interesting and intriguing. Anyone that is intellectual and creative. Anyone that thinks outside the box. Anyone that really does give a damn about our society.

Music:

I think I have a pretty eclectic taste when it comes to music. I listen to rock, alternative, hiphop, rap, jazz, reggae, classic rock, oldies, classical, r&b, and some country. Some of my favorite artists include Blackalicious, Green Day, The White Stripes, Gorillaz, Unwritten Law, Marilyn Manson, Rancid, Pennywise, Wu-Tang Clan, Tupac, Lily Allen, Jack Johnson, Rancid, Sublime, Jurassic 5, Fiona Apple, Linkin Park, Eminem, Talib Kweli, Mos Def, Red Hot Chili Peppers, DJ Shadow...the list goes on and on.

Movies:

I watch all kinds. Some of my favorites include The Corpse Bride, Amelie, The Warriors, Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Spun, Kill Bill 1 & 2, Nightmare Before Christmas, Gummo, Nacho Libre, Trainspotting, 50 First Dates, Run Lola Run, Kids, Wassup Rockers, Little Miss Sunshine, 300, Sin City, 40 Year Old Virgin, Old School, Punch Drunk Love, Pulp Fiction, Fight Club, Office Space, Science of Sleep, Eternal Sunshine, Hard Candy, Braveheart, Paris Je t'aime, Reservoir Dogs, Pirates of the Carribean, Honey, Life is Beautiful, Big Fish, 8 Mile, Crash, Borat, and Snatch. I also like any movie that stars Christopher Walken because he is my favorite actor. I really don't watch movies much and there's a shitload of movies I still want to see. I also have a collection of documentaries.

Television:

My all-time favorite show to watch is the Simpsons. D'oh! I enjoy watching all sports (basketball, football, baseball, sometimes hockey). Currently, I've been watching a lot of Law & Order: SVU. I watch reality shows...they're interesting, intriguing, and frickin' funny! Damn those reality shows!!!

Books:

I really want to get back in the habit of recreational reading. The last few books I read are Fast girls: Teenage tribes and the myth of the slut, A child called it, Freakonomics, Chicken soup for the volunteer's soul, Dibs: in search of self, and I hope they serve beer in hell. I have created my own personal collection of books, on various topics, such as, photography and picture books, psychology, self-help books, sociology, cultural studies, gender studies, social science, criminology, law, autobiographies, and children's books. There are so many good books out there and I'll consider any recommendations, thanks.

Heroes:

Anyone and everyone that is a true humanitarian.
