Dining out anywhere from a 5 star restraunt to the dollar menu at Taco Bell. Camping and hiking in the summer, pretty much anything in the sun, its barely even winter and I'm already sick as hell of it. Mostly just party and hang out with friends and family. Going to school (finally) working my ass off every night till 3 am. History and music are really my two passions, as you'd be able to tell from my tattoo.
In the afterlife I'd like to meet my Grandma for the first time and go fishing with my Grandpa again. Other then that just cool, nice, genuine people who like to chill, get crazy and plain have a good time all the time. Lame ass people with bad attitudes need not apply, you know who you are. I can definitly be a bit of a shy guy at times, but for Christs sakes if your out doing something that isn't your cup of tea at least make the best of it. All members of Pink Floyd, Marcus Tullius Cicero, the guy in the Burger King Costume, Winston Wolf, Frank Zappa, Perpetua, Mr. Ed, Tiberius Gracchus, Jules Winfield, and Lucius Quinctius Cincinnatus.
ZERRUBBABAL is the best new band on the scene, check out their myspace page ASAP!!! Pink Floyd really isn't a band but rahter a way of life. But other then that, music preferences include classical, classic rock, jazz, psychedelic, jam bands, metal, 80's soft rock (total guilty pleasure, it doesn't get much better then Chers "If I Could Turn Back Time") small amounts of rap and hip hop like the Beastie Boys, J5, Black Eyed Peas, Blackalicious, Tupac, and Swollen Members. Even smaller doses of old school punk are acceptable like the Clash and the Ramones. I also enjoy bands like Radiohead, Flaming Lips, Neutral Milk Hotel, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Primus, Medeski, Martin and Wood, and one of the greatest musical geniuses ever to be born Frank Zappa.
I enjoy most movies from action, comedy and drama. But most anything with Jerry Bruckhiemers name attached to it can eat my ass with only a few exceptions. The Big Lebowski is the greatest stoner movie of all time, Royal Tennenbaums is another big time favorite. Harold and Maude truly is the greatest love story from the past 40 years. Most anything done by Sam Raimi, Tim Burton, or Alan Ball is spectacular. I like movies that make me think mostly, sure its nice to sit down and veg out mindlessly to some movies but for the most part if they make me think I'll enjoy them.
I love the Simpsons, South Park, The Daily Show, Colbert Report, Discovery Channel, Animal Planet, The History Channel especially. Most HBO series are great, Entourage, Sopranos, Rome and Curb Your Enthusiasm are the favorites. I actually don't have any network or cable TV, I just watch the occasional DVD either a movie or history documentary.
Recent reads include A Sense Of The World (which is one of the best books I've ever read), Inside Out: A Personal History of Pink Floyd, The Art of War (a 2,000 year old Eastern Philosophy book), Hannibal, (a biography on the ancient Carthaginian General), Catcher in the Rye, Curious George And The Hooker With Syphillis, The Adventures of Count Chocula, Yeardle The Turtle (Possibly the best book on the subject of turtle stacking) Stephen Kings The Gun Slinger, The Lessons of History (Philosophy book on historical events), and a comprehensive book on the ancient Mesopotamian civilization.
My Grandparents because they've lived and seen so much shit and had successful lifes with of fraction of opportunities I've been provided. My Parents for the same reasons. The "Blind Traveler" James Holman. Bus drivers, Park Rangers, and underwater welders. George Plimpton the writer, because he did so many things with his life and truly lived life to the absolute fullest. Oompa Loompas, Johnny Drama, Krusty The Klown, Mayor Quimby, and C. Montgomery Burns. Roald Dahl, Jim Henson, and Theodore Geisel (Dr. Suess). Any members of the RAF during the Battle of Britian, and any of the soldiers involved with the Christmas Truce of World War One, and my sister in law Emily, she is the biggest sweetheart in the world because she cooks me dinner all the time and pretty much takes care of me.
