Natasha Porreca is a 20-year-old singer/songwriter and guitarist from Southern California. She has been singing and writing since she was young but just recently began dabbling on the guitar less than 4 years ago. Natasha started off singing at small “venues,” or as she laughs and calls it “family get-togethers. Ya know… those where you perform outside of your house - singing into a boom box and rockin’ red cowgirl boots, a 101 Dalmatian t-shirt and a ponytail with a red bow barrette!” At age 11, she left the only stage that she knew to sing with a local, non-profit performance group called Musicians Workshop, where she performed in events such as the Temecula Valley International Film and Music Festival as Ray Charles accepted his lifetime achievement award. A few years passed and before she knew it, Natasha auditioned for Diddy’s upcoming singing/dancing group, Nikki 16, where she made the top 8. As thrilled as she was, Natasha felt that there was something else in store for her, so she decided to do her own thing and began focusing on writing music. She finally put her singing/songwriting and guitar playing passions in motion during the summer of 2008, when she wrote her entire album, Got Somethin’ to Say. “This album,” she says, “represents my free-spirited and loving personality. It also serves as a mini biography about my life, loves, and heartbreaks.” Audiences are captured by her smoky alto voice, relaxed style of music, and passionate stage presence - they find themselves lost in her musically told stories. When asked about what types of music move her, she replies “I’m into raw, bluesy styles of music that are simple but sweet.
