About Me

This music page features Joe Walmsley (Singer/Songwriter/Musician) performing a different style of music to the material he is otherwise known for among his followers, (check out the 6 songs at the top of this page, five standards plus track number six, a jazz ballad written and composed by Joe himself)
Joe was born and raised in Liverpool England and began performing at the age of 14, playing guitar and singing in various bands. He is currently living and working in the United States and has recently completed a new album with a full band which contains ten original songs of his own.
But for many years now, Joe has had a big passion for Swing and spent two years performing standards from the Big Band Era around Clubs and Hotels. He later spent 5 years singing on Cruise Ships working with a full Showband.
Joe also had the pleasure of meeting the Legendary Tony Bennett thanks in part to a couple of friends who work in Sound and Lighting at The Majestic Theater in San Antonio Texas. Joe had a ticket for the show that night and had already seen Mr. Bennett perform back in England, once in Liverpool and again in Manchester. Thanks to his friends he was able to watch him soundcheck in the afternoon with the band and met the Great man afterwards when he signed an Album Cover for Joe which now stands proudly on top of his TV.
At the moment Joe is performing an acoustic set of his new Album but would Love to do a Swing Show again so if any booking agents or performers are reading this page and you have any ideas or offers please leave a message or a comment.
