My name is Tam, I'm 29, Í live with my boyfriend Jasper and my cat Cou Cou in Rotterdam, The Netherlands.I have an Asian(Dutch-Indonesian) mother and an European (Dutch) father.Í'm the Creative Director of Studio Art To Ge!It's a freelance business run by myself. I started this little company after I graduated in Art & Design at the Willem the Kooning Academy in Rotterdam. During my education I also studied Illustration and Fine Arts at the Art Institute of Boston (USA) when I was an exchange student there. I am now a professional illustrator for all kinds of women's magazines(teenage, glossy, fashion and health magazines), childrens'book publishers and advertising agencies. I'm currently exploring the art of applied prints for t-shirts, and experimenting customising secondhand clothes, sketches for children's toys and ideas for children's books. Besides my commercial work, I also exhibit personal painted work. Sometimes I donate a canvas for charity. This year for Pin Ribbon.Lats year for the Sofia Childrens' Hospital. I also have an agent in New York,one in Amsterdam and a Japanese one on a trial bases in Tokyo.But I'd like to have another agent in the states. So if you know a good one, let me know ;-)Besides working as an illustrator I'm also a freelance teacher in Illustration for teenagers at the Vrije Academie voor Beeldende Kunst, that's an artacademy for Fine Arts in the Netherlands. In my free time,almost 4 hours a week I dance, modern dance,jazz & classic ballet and pilates,I used to do streetdance as well. I'm also one of the balletdancers of 3D&T, the theatre production group of the balletdepartment of this school. We perform in small theatre's and at festivals.And every year I travel a lot. With my backpack, my boyfriend and my camera :) The last couple fo years I've been travelling through Vietnam, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, and last summer 2 months in China. This year I'm going trekking in the jungle of Borneo and backpacking through Malasia.Besides those long trips I make a lot of short trips to other places like Paris, Antwerpen, Brussel, Amsterdam,Barcelona, Rome, London,the French Alpes, The Belgium Ardennes and on of my new favorite places: Denver & rocky mountains area :) where my American/Canedian soulmate lives miss Grumpypants & her hubby.
