About Me

There are moments in life when you miss someone so much that you just want to pick them from your dreams and hug them for real! When the door of happiness closes, another opens; but often times we look so long at the closed door that we don't see the one, which has been opened for us.Don't go for looks; they can deceive. Don't go for wealth; even that fades away. Go for someone who makes you SMILE! Because it takes only a smile to make a dark day seem bright. Find the one that makes your heart smile.Dream what you want to dream; go where you want to go; be what you want to be because you have only one life and one chance to do all the things you want to do.May you have enough happiness to make you sweet, enough trials to make you strong, enough sorrow to keep you human and enough hope to make you happy. The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the most of everything that comes along their way.The brightest future will always be based on a forgotten past; you can't go forward in life until you let go of your past failures and heartaches. When you were born, you were crying and everyone around you was smiling. Live your life so at the end, you're the one who is smiling and everyone around you is crying.Don't count the years, count the memories........I grew up here in Alaska. Went to many different schools...all were in Anchorage (except K was in Tyonek). Got into modeling right after high school. That took me to doing pageants...which introduced me to the entertainment field. Drove myself down to Los Angeles around the mid 90's. Did several TV shows, a few movies and some music videos. Met some very interesting people. Two most interesting I must say, were Beni D.T. and Mary C. Beni likes to sit n pick your brain... make you think-- past the whole Hollywood thing. That's rare for LA. And Mary--She was always happy and upbeat. Would go to the extreme for her (true) friends. And boy, the light she radiated continued to glow long after she left a room. (Thanks for those moments in time MLC.) There were a few others who I'll never forget either - Brett H...if I ever find him again it would be a miracle. Billy Z...thank God I DID find HIM again - such a brilliant and genuine guy. He's the source of many funny memeories and a few really great pictures. I'm SO very glad I experienced LA, even if it was to a small extreme...more so, just to get it out of my system. ...cuz just shy of a decade, I realized LA wasn't my "tude", and I longed for "home"... so I grabbed up my rescue animals and hit the road, back through Canada. Picked up my Mom, from her visit in Portland, on my way. Although she's never possessed a drivers License, it was great to have her company durring the rest of my 4000 mile trip. (we went the long way, through Idaho, visiting my uncle Butch and the bunch there between Spirit Lake and Couer D'Alene). I started working almost immediately upon my arrival home. Road construction- everything from digging ditches and "pulling" trains to setting up devices and flagging. I love it too. Love being tired at the end of the day. Love getting paid to work out, basically. Although, Shelie-- who use to own Run To The Sun with her husband Todd, would get on me about the bruises I'd incur before one of her famous fashion shows, she'd forgive me by the time the event was over. Luckily our winter shows weren't so bad, since there's less construction (less bruises) due to the weather. I was always the clown of the group. Sorry for being so silly all the time (Shelie) - that's just the way I live. I like for people to laugh and be happy... ya know - relax and live in the moment. That's a good thing, right? Now that Shelie n Todd have sold the store, several of us models who have been there forever, have moved on to other things. I retired in 2008 but Jill, owner of the LOOK, asked me to stay on doing all the coordinating for her. And if any of you have seen a LOOK fashion show - you'd understand why I couldn't refuse. Aside from all that, I'm a country girl at heart...very into family. Love spending time with my parents. Most weekends you can find me either at home, building something - or at their house, watching a movie. I try to go fishing at least once a year - I'd love to go more but my job doesn't permit it....too busy. Music is also a passion of mine. I love to sing...by myself, in my truck and/or in the shower. I've had some pretty incredible experiences, some good, some not so good. Regardless, I like who I am today, so I have to accept ALL of the things that got me here. I try not to regret anything, but maybe "tweeking" some of the past wouldn't be so bad. Above all else, I believe life is about memories - so I try to make the best ones I can. Remember...your opinion of me, is none of my business......

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Real people, with real things to say. Make me laugh -- make me wonder -- make me think. Ya know, creativity and originality go a long way. ;)~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~I know it may seem unreal to have 400+ friends on your friends list and actually KNOW them all...but honestly, I think the ones I haven't met in person are friends with someone I know or were very clever with a quick message introducing themselves. Several I would call very good friends. A small few I may even help move. An even smaller few I would try to talk OUT moving. The rest I can at least say, I've met. They need to have a list on here for "acquaintances" too...don'tchya think?
