Dickie Cox

I had always imagined that ghosts' bodies look like fog until one only whispered to me in my sleep

About Me

Dickie Cox continues to live as a protagonist in a realistic, science-fictional epic about the everyday world. He enjoys manuals of all sorts: computer, mechanical, occult, psychological, gardening, lucid dreaming. He has a growing interest in passive solar power and time travel. He spends his days working as a professor in a media lab but by night he is an obsessed researcher, scanning the the semantic net for secret passages into lost or hidden worlds. He peruses texts and media that keep his head in the clouds; searching for visitations, encounters, and enchanted glossaries that will free his creative actions from language and discourse and allow him to transmute energetic forces at will.

Engaged in the unfolding circumstances of a mundane yet unique existential perspective, Dickie occupies free moments with his pursuits in communicative expressions, meme investigation, New Media theory and production, persona exploration, and informational structures.

He has a recording project called The Antenna Library

You scored as C.G. Jung. You are more of a spiritualist than would be immediately apparent. Some of your notions are questioned by the cynical, but deep down you know the human consciousness is more than the flesh and tissue can account for. You tend to take a scientific observationist look on matters the average person wouldn't even begin to analyze. You personally are responsible for most of the ideas that are floating around in modern psychologist's/psychic's paltry little skulls. On the down side, you tend to be associated with that asshole Freud.

You are The Magician

Skill, wisdom, adaptation. Craft, cunning, depending on dignity.

Eleoquent and charismatic both verbally and in writing, you are clever, witty, inventive and persuasive.

The Magician is the male power of creation, creation by willpower and desire. In that ancient sense, it is the ability to make things so just by speaking them aloud. Reflecting this is the fact that the Magician is represented by Mercury. He represents the gift of tongues, a smooth talker, a salesman. Also clever with the slight of hand and a medicine man - either a real doctor or someone trying to sell you snake oil.

I'd like to meet:

Dickie Cox loves meeting people and hearing about their daily lives, travels, and their ideas. Extraordinary conversation always brings him back to earth. Members of the illuminati, freemasons, aliens, gypsies, phreakers, gutter punks, suits, geeks, artists, writers, zealots, flakes, drunks, and musicians are most interesting to him. When his last breath passes and he slips deep into the trials of the bardo, he wants to know that the prime material plane benefited from his obsessions and relationships so that the earthbound spirits will send encouraging thoughts to him to seek only the brightest of lights and to ignore the dull lights of lower planes.
