About Me

OK, first things first - I'm a super proud uncle of the most handsome little devil you'll ever meet! His name's Cannon. Now, I'll try to tell you a little of what I have figured out so far about myself. Hmmmm I like to smile and I like things that make me smile even more. It seems to me that there's a lot that I'm waiting to do. You know that feeling...the kid on the high dive. I've figured out where I want to land, ignored the other kids laughing, and just need to go ahead and jump. And stop looking at that girl...oops. My faith is the central thing in my life. When I don't act like it is, I'm painfully empty. Christ loves me still! Even when I don't pay much mind to Him. My intent is to become as authentic as humanly possible. It's a good thing that I'm the eternal optimist, isn't it? I'm currently on a sailing obsession. How I got there, I don't know. I live in Houston for crying out loud. Life is so good, and I try to always appreciate it. Anyway, life has changed yet again, as I'm finally a productive member of society and working in a real job. That makes real money. Maybe now I'll be able to allow my tired pickup truck to go to pasture, and replace with something sexy and flashy and 'lithe'. Like a Camaro. ooooooh.

books; people; laughing; music - piano, guitar (newbie), whistling; running when i'm in shape; working out sometimes; riding Jethro (a horse); shooting various guns at inanimate objects; dancing; movies; games; Red Raider football; talking to the family; cooking good food; eating out when it isn't; talking to patients; going to a good pub and playing darts while drinking a fresh guinness; going to second baptist church; teaching Sunday School; sleeping in on saturday; playing with my dog; golf; intramural sports; learning spanish; traveling; building stuff; making friends; hearing a good joke; telling a good joke (harder to do); hiking; going to the river to snowboard; snowboarding; and a ton of other stuff. God's creation is just too big for a single life, which kinda sucks :)

For now just my top 10: Brad Paisley (my favorite country artist), Keith Green (amazing), U2, Third Day, Third Eye Blind, Chopin, Creed, Garth Brooks, Rich Mullins.

Movies:

I'm going to go ahead and say it...STAR WARS! ...and princess bride...(shhhh - don't tell anyone)

Television:

I only really watch 2 things: Smallville and ESPN. And 24. And How I Met Your Mother. And Scrubs. And Battlestar Galactica... hehe

Books:

Any and all. Especially the ones with pictures.

Heroes:

My father is first on this list. The fact that he was more interested in being the right kind of dad than in being our friend has paid off huge. And now he's one of my best friends. He still beats me down at golf though...
