basta ya! mi companeros en mexicowhere it all startedbeyond that i was asking my mother to buy me K I S S albums @ pathmark until bout 1980 then rap took over till 83-84 when thanx to two of my friends (thanx dave and carlos)i was introduced to in the case of dave ; the clash and the sex pistols and in the case of carlos ;slayer and metallica ... ffwd to 86 i'm going to hardcore shows while hanging with some of the people from my hometown who were making house music in their basements ...city gardens in trenton , rutgers lecture halls , the fastlane -asbury park and the pipeline in newark were the jersey spots if we had the money we would hop a train or bus 1/2hr ride and we're trying to get into cb's, l'amours, or the pyramid maybe the "old ritz", or the roxy(i've posted some fliers from these years here and in my pics) that was life till 89-90 when the building and keoki's disco 2000(which would leave the building for the limelight giving us two excelent clubs within 2 blocks of 1 another) would start to be the places leaving me in the right place and time to get to enjoy the pre-rave e-punchbowl club days and the let's find an empty warehouse ideas that led to the legendary studio parties (shoutouts to dennis the menace and the whole STORMrave crew) after studio came the first official storm parties (ahh good times) couple years bouncing round the larger east coast led me back to punk, hardcore and ska which i had left for a while due to increased negativity in those scenes once it calmed down i was back full on and now like to split my time btwn the two worlds dance / punk ska (especially when i'm with my 00squirt.) etc nowadays i'm as likely to be at a protest as at a club or show but music is always in my head ;)and now here are the promised
