About Me

At first glance you'll think I'm 15, I might be a bit naive like a 15 year old in that I try to believe in people, but I that is pretty much were it ends. Events in my life and a trip to Iraq mature you faster than you would like, but perhaps it's for the better. I'm very family oriented, I was raised to see the importance of family and it's tight bonds; family is pretty much the base of my soul. I believe that love conquers all, if only more could see this, who knows how different things could be. From this you can see I'm a bit of an idealist, dreamer, but I lack the necessary drive to take a step forward, I blame my initial bashfulness. Once I get comfortable with the new folks or surroundings, the shyness quickly diminishes. I enjoy life, and great company to enjoy it with, and great a love to share it with. Kindred spirits are always welcomed.

My Interests

I enjoy reading a lot, adding some knowledge to this feeble mind if possible. I find myself doing less of this but intend to make a profession out of it (drawing). I usto play a lot of sports but the tom boy in me has been replaced by some girly being that is forced to run for the sake of running and every now and then made to shoot an m-16. Also I shall admit to my addiction to .. games, mainly World of WarCraft, if you play .. games you'll know what I'm talking about, but it will never overshadow my love for the damn Zelda games. I'm open to many new things as long as the fun factor is present. Oh, and Batman, I love Batman.

Music:

It's very hard to find anything that interests me anymore. The radio is ONLY turned on if my ipod or FM receiver kicks the bucket. I enjoy however anything that sounds like or similar to.......... A Perfect Circle, Depeche Mode, Caifanes, Tool, Calexico, Mogwai, Dead Can Dance, DJ Shadow, Jaguares, La Ley, Tricky and every now and then I'll be a real beaner and kick back with some Vicente Fernandez ..As of late I have been listening to disco, yes disco.

Movies:

I was told I like boring movies...... Crash, Motorcycle Diaries, Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind, The Jacket, Princess Mononoke, Samurai X, Hero. Movies and anime similar to that.

Television:

Don't watch any. Wait, I take that back, I do watch clips of the Daily Show on my pc. It's were I get my news.

Books:

I love to read but also enjoy Manga, so the list will be mixed up here....... Battle Angel Alita, Sophie's World, Harry Potter, Da Vinci Code, The Vampire Lestat (love Anne Rice) Island, His and Her Circumstances, Choke, Diary, Sirens of Titan, and Lullaby. Wicked, Son of a Witch, (Gregory Mcguire). Books around that style I'll enjoy. ... As of late reading The Gunslinger.

Heroes:

Jesus, yes, not for any religious mumbo jumbo but he goes along with Martin Luther King Jr, Mahatma Gandhi, and Socrates. These men through peaceful acts inspired down right fear in those in power. They changed many things, and even after death are still influencing many. Again with Jesus, take him as a person and remove him from that book that so many horrible things have been done in his name. Essentially all these great teachers for thousands of years have been asking one thing from man and sadly we have not been capable of doing it.
