Video games, poker (TH'E), redefining "lazy", puzzles (photomosaics are soooo cool!), video games (Xbox 360 and PS2, soon to be PS3), movies, hanging with my bro Dan (the Man) at Busch Gardens (Python and Scorpion RULEZ...well, maybe they did twenty years ago), and video games. Did I mention video games?
Well, I'm definitely going to meet Jesus one day, whether via my shuffling off of this mortal coil or the trumpet call of God, but after Him I'd like to meet Rush Limbaugh (although Glenn Beck is quickly rising through the ranks). While I don't agree with everything he says (only about 0.1%, though), the thing I like about him is his ability to present his views in a logical way. Sure, he's screwed up (loved his reaction to the Viagra incident..."How did Bob Dole's luggage get on my plane?" and "I told my doctor I was worried about the next 'ELECTION'..."), but he is a fascinatingly brilliant guy.
Mozart, Beethoven, Bach, Metallica, Linkin Park, Tourniquet, Detritus, anything with a harmony and melody (and a good double-bass drumbeat). And I can't help but mention the "Accordion god" himself, Weird Al Yankovic. I, too, play the accordion, but some of the "riffs" (if that even makes sense being applied to a squeezebox) he pulls off are insane...I can't even air-accordion it as fast as it's being done.
Anything with Jet Li, most of Jackie Chan's early stuff (gets too predictable and dull later on, although the Rush Hour movies were great), any kung-fu (Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, House of Flying Daggers, Kung-Fu Hustle, Kung-Pow), anime (Akira, Princess Mononoke), Star Wars (except for episode one...you're dead to me!), animated (Shrek, Ice Age, anything Pixar).
Naruto (Believe it!), CNN Headline News, Glenn Beck, 24, American Idol, WWE Raw and Smackdown (guys need their soap operas, too), Robot Chicken (Seth Green and crew are brilliant, if not a little bizarre)
Instead of books, I'll name authors I like: God (through humans inspired by the Holy Spirit), Tom Clancy, J.K. Rowling, Tim LeHaye & Jerry Jenkins (Left Behind series), John Grisham,Authors that I hope to one day add to this list: James Michener, John Jakes, Dean Koontz, Ann Coulter
Everyone in the armed forces of the United States of America. It's easy to say you love this country, but proving that love by defending her speaks volumes. My hat is off to all the brave men and women (and their families) that have given their time, effort, energy (and in some cases their lives) to make this country what it is.
