D. Barksdale, know as Dae'ola in the rap world was born on the northwest side of Detroit. The first child out a family of four, who devoled an early ear for music at a young age. Growing in a single parent household, he traveled often from one home to another. By the age of thirteen living in a small town of Dekalb, Mississippi he started writing his very own songs.
Forced to take on his own weigh at the age of sixteen, he balanced school, a job and also moving around the city. Once again without both parents, he became more involved in the streets. Dae would carry the sound of his own voice through recordings. The street life was more in play to survive for this young artist. As he matured with the music still, he follows the road to break in the music industry as a songwriter and artist.
