In 1984, I got involved in the punk scene. Skateboarding gave me the opportunity to travel the South checking out all sorts of live music. From black metal to hardcore punk, I am attracted to extremes.
Now, I write about cultural extremes, especially in music and art, as well as crafting scary short fiction and verse. Some of my non-fiction credits include the anthologies Apocalypse Culture 2, Antibothis volume #2, Audio Culture: Readings in Modern Music, and the magazines Spin, Seconds, Juxtapoz, Rue Morgue, Caustic Truths, Chord, Gauntlet, Terrorizer, Warp Japan, Bang, Merlin's Music Box and more.
I've sold short stories to The Darker Side: Generations of Horror, The Dead Inn, Fangoria, and Allen Koszowski's Inhuman, to name a few. My fiction and poetry have received various awards including mentions in Year's Best Fantasy and Horror.
I'm also a contributing editor to the first all-English Japanese toy culture magazine Super7.
