SPARKLE

Ettore Martin : tenor sax,Danilo Gallo : bass,Enzo Carpentieri : drums. SPARKLE è un collettivo che vede riuniti alcuni tra i più creativi musicisti della scena jazz attuale e mette insieme svariati elementi musicali, storie e tradizioni alla costante ricerca dell’inconsueto e dell’imprevedibile. Il gruppo propone un repertorio di composizioni originali e si ispira alle forme più moderne del jazz; musica che attinge dalla cultura afroamericana e trae ispirazione da esperienze musicali e di viaggio nei paesi orientali.Abitualmente i tre musicisti italiani fanno parte del quartetto del pianista Roberto Magris con il quale si sono esibiti in Australia, Asia, Cina e Indonesia.Nella primavera 2008, in aggiunta al trio stabile SPARKLE, si è unito per un tour il sassofonista compositore e arrangiatore statunitense Andy Middleton , che vanta illustri collaborazioni con Dave Holland, Ralph Towner e Maria Schnieider per citarne solo alcune. Michael Brecker di lui ha detto “Here is the sax player with the courage to pursue his own voice..” e John Abercrombie “Totally contemporary playing and writing with a real sense of the jazz tradition..”. Attualmente Andy Middleton insegna Composizione e Arrangiamento Jazz al Conservatorio di Vienna.
