About Me

'If you want heartbreak, humour, anger, longing, wit, politics, satire, melody and great musicianship then look no further. Rob is kind of in between Dylan, Nick Drake and Thom Yorke whilst maintaining a unique style that is surprisingly different from song to song. The music combines the older arts of folk and simplicity with the newer ones of atmosphere and effects, while his distinctive lyrics and nice voice guide the listener through a poetic, surreal and questioning mind that will hopefully be making music for many years to come. Helen's backing vocals add a soulful and almost religious quality to the proceedings, and remind us once again that this is good music that deserves attention. Rob's songs provide a breath of fresh air to say the least.' --- A well wisher. Rob--- 'I do want to write a boring, pretentious and long paragraph in the myspace band style, but I'm feeling quite altruistic today so you've got off lightly. Basically, I like music that's sincere and deals with the truth. It's one of the only escapes from an ever-increasingly bland and mediocre culture that praises tories, pop idol puppets, big brother muppets, television, jesus, the monarcy and soldiers hired to kill people who don't want every drop of oil sqeezed out of their garden, whilst condemning artists, protesters, rebels, foreigners and peace. Anyway, I could go on for hours. I'll just say enjoy the music, do what you like, be who you like and remember that choice is probably stronger than fate. Good luck.
