About Me

Truth 2 Power
24/7 Protest Music

LISTEN NOW!
I am an a musician ( vocalist , guitarist, keyboardist and former bassist for Silenced Within as well as guitarist for a couple different Metal/Hard Rock Bands), until the dot com crash and 9/11 I was a Software Engineer and Consultant. Three years later I survive as best I can with a part time retail job. Fortunately, I have never believed that the thing you do to make money defines your being. I am a person. I can be humourous and I can be deadly serious based on the circumstances and needs of the moment. I try to be, in my own way, a visionary. I try to look at the present, understand the past and view what is most likely to happen for myself, my friends, family, the nation and world - through the glass darkly. I can be a cynic. I can be hopeful. I believe in liberty. I fear the unregulated growth of the centralized powers of government as well as industry, simply because of the danger of corruption, abuse and negligence - which is natural to all peoples particularly when oppurtunity and power collide. I am a radical centrist. In my view, the right is generally wrong - but so too is the left. The best path is usually based on a pragmatic balace of competing interests. Workers can not exist without companies to work for. In turn, companies can not function without customers -and those customers have a right to expect that the products they purchase are safe and will not cause them harm - such as cancer or a heart-attack and stroke (Vioxx) as a result of manipulation of the government officials who are supposedly independant. I believe that our elected officials should seek to protect the interests of the people - not the interests of their corporate sponsors and wall street brokers, but I fully realize that this is not the case, particular in todays politcal climate, nor is it likely to change anytime soon as the country begins to drown in Red State Madness. Still I am remain hopeful, if slightly bitter that the country I live in, the country I believe in, the country I belive holds the primary hope for most of mankind slowly turns into something I don't recognize. Something I find increasingly frightening, dangerous, reactionary, bigoted and frankly - fascist.
God Bless America, for these days it is in deep need of your blessing, grace, wisdom and guidance.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Aamer from Vh1's Band Reunited - so I can kick his teeth in for what he and his show did to try and screw over one of the most talented and underated musicians and bands of the 20th and 21st century, Nuno Bettencourt and Extreme.

Anyone from FUckerstick, so I can piss in their drinks (except Brandon because he's cool) for their self-aggrandizing "we're ROck Stars, babey! wahhhooo" hyper-macho testoserone-poisoned arrogantly sloppy musicianship slut-chasing cheating-on-their-girlfriends and laughing about it bullshit dickhead behavior on "Bands on the Run" and their complete failure to take any responsibility what-so-ever when their dipshit fans (who were stupid enough to swallow their act) began to issue death threats against members of a rival band, Soulcracker. A band who simply worked their ASSES off, and IMO deserved to win the contest. Plus are frankly a better band musically (at least on record, if not always live) and better people personally. Threats that were serious enough to prompt the involvement of the FBI and prompt Beastie's eventual exit from the group. But then again I suppose the fact their big label debut went plywood and fell off the charts like a stone, sending them back to bar-hopping and skirt-chasing in Dallas was probably punishment enough.

Yes, I have a few axes to grind, but anyone else I might actually admire - like the members of King's X (Ty, Doug & Jerry), the members of Flesh (including Paul Bettencourt), Angelo, Norwood Fisher & Kendall from Fishbone, Dr Dre, Dave Grohl, Jimi Hazel from 24/7 Spyz, Billy Bass Nelson from Parliament Funkadelic, Cree Summer, Victor Johnson from Sammy Hagar's Waboritas, Eddie Van Halen, Steve Lukather of Toto, Jack Black, Kirk Hammet, Dave Navarro, Gary Cherone, Joyce Kennedy from Mother's Finest, Corey Glover and Vernon Reid of Living Colour, Spacey T, Lajon from Sevendust, Bobby Blotzer of Ratt, Eric Martin, Dan Reed, Don Dokken, George Lynch, Jeff Pilson, Mick Brown, Carmine Appice, David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson from the X-Files, Ronnie James Dio, Paul Stanley of Kiss or Neal Schon of Journey - I've been lucky enough to have already met. Some of them several times and a few I even consider friends.

Most of them are very cool, especially Ronnie James, Ty, Doug, Paul and Jeff, but most importantly - they're just people like anyone else. Very Talented People - but still people.
