We are the dreamers of dreams

About Me

I have been drawing since I can remember and began doing portraits when I was fifteen. I received the Excellence in Art award from the Bank of America upon graduation from high school, but pursued other interests at our community college for a while until I was certain that art was my true love. A move out of California for a few years found me living an adventure on my uncle’s sail boat for two months, and then working as a CNA at a nursing home in Missouri, where I had a one man show displaying my art. I moved again to attend The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale in Florida where I was part of a juried gallery exhibition. After returning to California, I received the Best of Show award in the San Bernardino County Fair and continued on to the California State Fair where my work won first place. Now I am the proud mother of a three year old little boy and hard at work as an Educational Assistant with special needs children and after a small break for my son I am back to work on my art. I work in pencil, and oils, and I am playing with acrylic. My subjects are generally people but I enjoy many other things as well. I began painting murals three years ago, working in acrylic medium and I have been working with the local Mural society on murals placed throughout town to beautify our city.
