SQUEEGEE is a power rock trio fronted by a power rock singer. SQUEEGEE'S story is short and simple, just like their music. The band is comprised of Sam Barker/guitar, Darin Mullins/bass,Sonny Vee/drums and Ellie Murphy/vocals.Barker and Vee met through a classified ad Barker ran that read "Drummer wanted. Think Who, Faces, Humble Pie. Small amps, big sound." Barker and Vee got together and started bashing out covers and working on original material, all the while keeping an eye out for a bass player.They found him in the person of Darin Mullins, a seasoned touring pro who walked into the rehearsal room one cold Chicago afternoon and never left. Playing with Barker and Vee was like an AA meeting for Mullins - he kept coming back - and it was working!Locating the final piece of the puzzle turned out to be to be the hardest part. The band was tight, the tunes were hot, but finding a singer that could keep up was proving to be a grueling task.The fellas were beginning to wonder if they would ever find the right person.Enter Ellie Murphy! The band had been looking for a guy, but Ellie proved to be a very aggresive, straight up rock singer / blues shouter out of the Steve Marriot school. Ellie brought a great voice, great stage presence, and great writing talent to the band. SQUEEGEE was complete!These four veteran players are a very exciting rock band, and the strongest live act in Chicago! They play REAL rock music guaranteed to bring down any house, please any audience, and sell lots of booze!
