Welcome to the Greek Support Page for Lost.
A band from Italy
BIOGRAPHY:
The Lost - Walter Fontana (singer), Filippo Spezzapria (drummer), Giulio Dalla Stella (guitarist), Luca Donazzan (bassist) e Roberto Visentin (guitarist) – are a rock band born in Vicenza whose members are all about 20 years old and have become the new phenomenon of the italian music.
The beginning of the story of this group can be seen as the same as a lot of other famous artists in the music scene.
A group of boys who met at school, with the passion for music.
The beginning of their biography might seem common, but the story changes…
In 2004 Lost, driven by the recklessness of their young age, decide that the best way to let people know their music is not through the classic iter, that means by sending a demo to the Record Label and waiting for an answer. They decide to become their own discographers.
They close in a studio to practice and practice all over again, paying with some little jobs the studio where they worked.
After almost 2 years they thought it was the right moment to make people know their music, skipping all obstacles of the recording world.
They decide to reach directly the crowd, because that is how they did too, to know new music: they use to search on the web to discover new groups, they exchange information about unknown bands in Italy, ect.
Today young people who are tired of the boring programmes in the radio stations, search the music they like and which represents them the best.
That’s what Lost did: they created their own MySpace, they created their logo, studying the colors and characters, and they invited some people to listen to their songs, talking with them and asking advices and opinions.
They went from 10 to 100 visits a day, from 20 to 1000 friends.. Thanks to the members of MySpace who kept passing the word to each other, Lost kept on believing in this different way of communicating, excluding traditional medias.
They also asked their “friends†on MySpace to help them to let more people know about them: groups of girls in love with their music started to organize some sort of street teams to let people know about Lost’s music.
Online and offline networks started being full of stickers and banners of Lost.
July 2007: Lost were invited to participate to an episode of TRL Extra in Bari and broadcasted by MTV, thanks to the event “Cornetto Free Music Auditionâ€.
In Bari they are able to actually see the power of internet and their perseverance: hundreds of girls in the square screamed their name with a lot of big posters for these 5 guys of Vicenza, and all this without even selling a single yet.
They go on fearless. They produced their own music video which reached number 1 on MTV TRL chart.
On 25th January 2008 they produced their first album “XD†(Carosello Records), which went directly at number 27 of italian music charts and is still present.
After the two singles “Oggi†and “Tra pioggia e nuvole†(which were two of the most shown videos on Trl, a cult program on MTV), today there is the third single “Standby, whose video was shot in California and has a very international style, and it’s in the Italian charts from the day of the release. Since the 8th on May infact it is always in the first three positions of the most voted video clips (for 15 times in the first position, 10 times in the second and 7 times the third.)
In May 2008 with the cover of “California girlsâ€, known song by The Beach Boys, Lost were the new soundtrack of the “Cornetto Free Music Audition†advertisement.
Lost’s summer started with a big goal: they were asked to be the opening act of the two italian concerts of Tokio Hotel (6 July in Rome and 11 July in Modena) and they were able to play in front of 40.000 people having a great success.
Lost are busy with their XD tour 2008 for all the summer.
The MySpace page of Lost is one of the most visited, with more than 1.000.000 in less than a year.
