About Me

Hello. You have reached the Myspace page of:
Cory

What should I do, become a peasant or a shepherd? I keep going, and I don't know; have I gotten into stench and shame, or into light and joy? That's the whole trouble, because everything on earth is a riddle...

Because when I fall into the abyss, I go straight into it, head down and heels up, and I'm even pleased that I'm falling in such a humiliating position, and for me I find it beautiful...
Let me be cursed, let me be base and vile, but let me also kiss the hem of that garment in which my God is clothed; let me be following the devil at the same time, but still I am also your son, Lord, and I love you, and I feel a joy without which the world cannot stand and be...

Beauty is a fearful and terrible thing! Fearful because it's undefinable, and it cannot be defined, because here God gave us only riddles. Here the shores converge, here all contradictions live together...
What's shame for the mind is beauty all over for the heart. Can there be beauty in Sodom? Believe me, for the vast majority of people, that's just where beauty lies--did you know that secret? The terrible thing is that beauty is not only fearful but also mysterious. Here the devil is struggling with God, and the battlefield is the human heart. But anyway, why kick against the pricks? Listen, now to real business.

(Brothers Karamazov)

Let me tell you a story that always makes me feel better...

"Once upon a time there was an ugly duckling. He was soooo ugly that everyone died. The end."

I've got the grammar glamour, yo.

"It's hard not to feel happy when you see a peaceful, bubbling fountain.
It's hard not to pee too.
Actually, it's hard not to feel happy when you pee.
Feel happy. Pee."

Here are some quotes I like:

"Sooner or later you just figure out there are some guys who don't believe in God and they can prove He doesn't exist, and some other guys who do believe in God and they can prove He does exist, and the argument stopped being about God a long time ago and now it's about who is smarter, and honestly I don't care."
-Donald Miller

"Explicitness, my dear fellow, is fatal to the glamour of all artistic work, robbing it of all suggestiveness, destroying all illusion...nothing is more clear than the utter insignificance of explicit statement and also its power to call attention away from things that matter in the region of art."
-Joseph Conrad
"Drinking beer is easy. Trashing your hotel room is easy. But being a Christian, now that's a tough call. That's rebellion."
-Alice Cooper

"It is curious that physical courage should be so common in the world and moral courage so rare."
-Mark Twain

"A system of morality which is based on relative emotional values is a mere illusion, a thoroughly vulgar conception which has nothing sound in it and nothing true."
-Socrates

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

All those hip, jazzy, super cool, neat, keen, and groovy cats. It's in the fridge, daddy-o! Are you hip to the jive? Can you dig what I'm layin' down? I knew that you could. Slide me some skin, soul brother!

And especially these people....

Oh yeah, and this handsome fellow...

Nonsense

Note: Cory doesn't really like to affiliate with specific political parties. Whatever that means.

My Blog

Time for a Blog Purge

I've done this a few times before....at least once? I need to delete all, or at least most, of the blogs my Myspace page contains (with the exception of this one, for now). It just feels a little cree...

If I had an FAQ section, this is probably what it would look like.

Ok, so I know I'm not very "e-popular" like all the "hardcore" scene kids with their 80,000 + friends, but I wanted my own FAQ section because I do encounter the same questions often. So here are some...
