The Steele Factory is a full-service Pro Tools recording and mixing studio with an in-house production team. New York City based producers/songwriters Benny Steele and Dayna Hollins own The Steele Factory, a three room recording studio and production house. The Steele Factory is now doing sound design for Stella Adler theatre at NYU and recording and mixing for countless musicians in many genres including; rock, jazz, pop, R&B, hip-hop, classical and voice-overs. The production team, Hollins Steele, produces artists in the pop, rock, and R&B genres. Benny also makes hip hop beats/tracks.
The Steele Factory is available for the recording and mixing of demos and full length CDs. With an in-house songwriting/production team, The Steele Factory can accommodate all of your needs.
The Steele Factory has recorded musicians including Q-Tip, Raphael Saadiq, Meshell N’Degeocello, Roy Ayers, Corey Glover or Living Colour, Chocolate Genius, Amp Fiddler (George Clinton, Parliament/Funkadelic); Dede Bridgewater, Daniel Sadownick (Steeley Dan), Booker King (Santana, Kelis), Tomas Doncker (The Neville Brothers), Matt Beck (Matchbox 20, Rob Thomas), Ken Hellman (Sting) and John Deley (Dido) and jazz greats: Lincoln Goines, Robbie Ameen, Michael Cain, Gregoire Maret and Reuben Rodriguez. Dayna has also appeared on David Letterman’s Late Show singing with Fergie.
Hollins Steele is currently producing songs for an upcoming inspirational/pop/rock album by singer/songwriter Stevvi Alexander (Justin Timberlake, Gwen Stefani), songs for pop/soul singer/songwriter Tomas Doncker’s upcoming EP (The Neville Brothers, Bonnie Raitt) and has produced rock singer Colby Prior (opened for Gavin Degraw), and R&B singer/songwriter Michelle Collins. Benny Steele mixed rapper Theory’s Plan B: Theory is Everything (which had a track at 1 on Kiss FM 96.1) and engineered trance artist Jan Johnston’s vocal tracks for an upcoming Paul Oakenfold release. Benny Steele also co-produced 3rd Life’s album, World of Hurt and is currently co-producing Jason Spirit’s Spirit Sez.
