I am here for Friends

About Me

About me? Well....I grew up in Spartanburg, SC. I love South Carolina! I'll probably never move back there but I always knew I would end up somewhere NEAR there. Anyways, I went to college at the University of South Carolina, where I met some of the greatest people on earth. A year after college I moved to Washington, DC where I lived for almost four years. I loved it there, but I moved to Chapel Hill, NC in July 2006 to be with the love of my life and now husband while he got his MBA at UNC. What I took away with me from my time in NC was a great group of friends and a passion for Tarheel Basketball! Ben and I moved to Atlanta in June of 2007 and we wed in December 2007. Newlywed life is great!!! I work from home as a corporate recruiter for a Biotherapeutic company in Research Triangle Park. Yes, working from home is as great as it sounds! That's pretty much it for right now. I'm a big party girl, I have an active social life, and I enjoy drinking, partying, playing kickball, hanging with my friends, spending time with my man, working out, and watching my DVR! Oh, and in case you can't tell from my layout here, I'm the biggest Goonies fan around and I can do a kick ass Chunk Impression....HOLLA Bitches!!!

My Interests

I already said what my interests are above in the about me category...oops.

I'd like to meet:

I don't care...friends really. Meet up with people from the past. Anyone that's not a giant dork :)

Music:

Classic rock...the Beatles, Billy Joel, Elton John, Chicago...and JOURNEY!!! I also heart country music, all of it!

Movies:

Top three...cause I could go on for hours about this one. 1. The Goonies (Obviously) 2. Grease (only the best musical EVER) 3. Tommy Boy (makes me pee my pants everytime)

Television:

Oh lord where do I begin? We'll start with Sunday and work our way through the week...Desperate Housewives, Grey's Anatomy, The Hills, Nip Tuck, the Biggest Loser, Lost, 24, SuperNanny (closet fan), American Idol, and Ice Road Truckers on Discovery (don't ask me why, I just got sucked in damnit). As far as syndicated goes it's by far the Cosby Show, the Wonder Years, and Saved by the Bell. As far as Daytime goes Oprah and Days of our Lives!!!

Books:

Harry Potter series, anything by Dan Brown and Wally Lamb, and A Farewell to Arms was the shit!

Heroes:

My parents...I want their relationship in 30 years! Other people I look up too...my first boss in DC Cynthia Beckman and one of my old managers Maria Reda. They both taught me to be an independent woman!
