Those 3 guys did their first job together in april 2006.
The circumstances forced them to do it without any rehersal (not unusual in jazz), but it turned out to be the start of a persevering project.
Though... pianoplayer MARKUS MATTERN
and...
bassman BURKHARD HEIDBRINK
know each other and do music together in different jazz-formations
for about 15 years now, they simply did not find...
drummer THOMAS JAMBOR
fitting to their ideas and inspiration ...among a dozen they played with.
Now search has an end.
They all are academy-graduated musicians.
JAMBOR passed his drum-exams at the "Robert Schumann" institute of Düsseldorf. He is the leading drummer of the city-theatre in Münster. HEIDBRINK studied bass in Münster. Apart from his jazz-jobs he is teaching that instrument at 3 musicschools.
MATTERN studied at the music-academy of Detmold
(main subjects: piano & composition).
He also is teaching (piano, saxophone, combo) in additon to different activities as a musician and producer.
