Well... we are all old Metal heads that grew up in or around the South Bay area of Los Angeles. We all grew up listening to metal and/or hard rock but eventually, in the early to mid eighties we migrated over to the harder stuff. Bands like Metallica, Slayer, Exodus, Anthrax, Voivod, Celtic Frost, Venom etc. Our individual tastes vary depending on who you ask, but none of that matters. We are all about the METAL!
We have all played in bands that have had varying degrees of success, or failure. Phil used to play guitar for the bands Decapitator, Wargod and Phantasm way back when. Tim played drums for Death By Stereo and One Eye Open. Paul used to play guitar for Silent Scream. Melting heads with heavy riffery. Mike took over the MC duties for Danny in the summer of '07. Mario is the newest addition to the band. He used to play bass for Silent Scream (with Paul) and is currently a member of EnterFear.
There are 5 ex-members of KNAC/DC that have moved on to bigger and better things. They are good friends of ours and we had a blast playing with them.
• Marco (10/05-8/06) was in One Eye Open with Tim and Timmy O.
• Jason (10/05-3/07) played guitar for PKG but picked up the bass to play with us.
• Timmy O (10/05-4/06) played guitar for One Eye Open (with Marco and Tim) and Death By Stereo.
• Danny (10/05-4/07) once sang for the legendary group Explozzionne. • Joe (3/07-7/09) has played bass and drums for many bands including Chorizo Grande, PKG, Dirty Dogs and Dimestore Hoods.
Our friend Alex, who we go way back with, has a bar (Alex's Bar). Many a great rock show has passed through Alex's - and damn his drinks are strong!! Alex had struck gold with an 80's themed Karaoke band, so he thought he would try his luck at METAL KARAOKE. He asked us if we would be willing to put together a HEAVY METAL KARAOKE BAND - and we said "DONE".
There is nothing better than getting drunk and jammin' some metal. Most of the people who get up there and sing with us are actually pretty damn good singers too! Totally worth the price of admission - which incidentally is ZERO. Anyway... we began practicing in October of 2005 and the rest is history.
Let's see how long we can keep this goin.
