Some people look at me and are amazed when I tell them my interests. I love to crochet, and anything else my mother taught me when I was younger such as crafts, home-made projects and cut out cookies at Christmas with original decorations. I color Easter eggs every year, always have a real tree and take every event possible to the extreme. I believe in fun and always look for everyone around me to have fun.
I would actually like to meet people in my life who have searched for me from my past or even present. Not that they would want to start a long term friendship, but anyone who would like to say HI!
I was going to say I enjoy everything but country, but then I remembered Shania Twain. She's hot. Well, my first loved group was Duran Duran, even though I'm over them now (I just listen to them for memories), love to death BON JOVI (Brings tears to my eyes when I think of them), Pink Floyd, Depeche Mode (DM belongs to you know who and you know why - Our first night on 1&9 "how romantic...whatever", but I fell in love with you - Caliente Cab Co, Jekyll and Hydes - Behind the Wheel - Who better for that song? - Yes, I stood you up that night...I wish I didn't now), Pat Benatar (LOVE HER!), Alanis Morisette (aka ANGRY BITCH in my book, but she rocked in a little theatre in Sydney, Australia - Swung that arm like she was handicapped - SO INTO HER MUSIC!), U2 (old U2 - Kichi, look what you did to me...I wish I was old enough to have lived through the 80's music that warps my mind 12 years younger than you. I should have been at those concerts rocking with you), and then there's today's music like... Britney, Jessica Simpson, and all the other pop girls who get me groovin whenever I'm down. As long as it has a happy beat or something "UP" to move to, I'm there! .. id="MediaPlayer" width="300" height="300" classid="CLSID:22D6F312-B0F6-11D0-94AB-0080C74C7E95" standby="Loading Windows Media Player components..." Favorite movie: Silence of the Lambs. My brother was going to the FBI and I was staying with him at the time and he made me read the book first, then "LET" me see the movie. After that, I read all the books, “The Tooth Fairy†and all the other books from Thomas Harris related to the series before I would see the movies. I loved it. Can't stand horror like Jason and Freddy but will watch a real psychological thriller any day. I absolutely can't stand corny "comedies" but will say "Old School", "Raising Arizona", “Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas†and “Money Pit†are my all time favorite comedies
Yes, I am a reality TV freak. I have " "The Apprentice" (both Donald and Martha), "Real World", "My Sweet 16", "Intervention", "Wife Swap", "Trading Spouses", "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy", and "Meet the Barkers" all DVR'd. I also like watching CSI NY and Miami (not Las Vegas or that other show with the Navy - I think it's called NCIS?) and Oprah. I wasn't so into Oprah in the past, but I see she has changed her show a bit and has become a bit 'hipper'. I have Ellen DVR'd also, but I see she is losing her celebrity guest profile and I've noticed she is not so energetic during her shows lately. As of 10/30/06 - I'm adding to my DVR list: Dancing with the Stars, Justice, Deal or No Deal, Nip/Tuck, Cold Case, Desperate Housewives, Drawn Over, and Gene Simmons' Family Jewels.
Any book by James Patterson and Thomas Harris is a definite reading for me. Fuck with my mind. Make me think - but don't make it seem unbelievable or "the obvious" as well.Book that has most affected me lately: Wendy Williams Experience. The few things I relate to her to in the book have had me thinking constantly about my life, dedication to success and what makes you happy, and the demons we face in life and how to get past them.
I never understood the meaning of hero, but I'll take every person I've ever known in my life as a hero because I feel everyone I have had in my life, from strangers to family, have had some influence on me to do better in different ways. For example, my mother is a hero in showing me the ins and outs of survival, my father travelled the world as an immigrant and raised a family of 5, (only counting children) and adopted a son in the late 60's that was very different from my culture (but I didn't even know of until I was 16) and taught me not to discriminate, and had a brother who travelled the world and gave me intellect on life and protected me with the help of his friends and by his own teachings and a sister, who is the youngest, but seems like the smartest of all of us.
