PHAMOUS who? This is the name of Mississippi's hottest new duo. The group consists of Kenneth "Yung Core" Thompson & Jodec'e "Yung Jode'" Mayfield A.K.A. Lil' Chris Brown. Yung Core originally from Nashville, Tenn. moved to Jackson, Ms. in 2006 where he began his freshman year at Lanier High School in the heart of the Georgetown Community of Jackson. For Lanier it was always known for it"s elite baskeball programs for producing great basketball player (e.g. Monte Ellis, Darius Rice, Tang Hamiton, to name a few) not so much as musicians. During that year Core quickly established himself as one of the most talented rap artists Lanier had ever seen. He ripped talent show after talent show making him the school's favorite as a freshman. That next year incomes Jodec'e Mayfield, who brought a swagger like no other. Jode' had already generated a buzz around various high-schools in the Jackson area including Lanier do to his raps and dancing ability. This heavily earned him the well-deserved name Lil Chris Brown. Jode' was a U-tube favorite amongst his peers. Naturally people were excpecting these two to battle. Instead of giving the people what they wanted, they took it to the next level and joined forces to create PHAMOUS. The difference in style actually complimented each other making them one of the coldest rap duo since Outkast!In early 2008, PHAMOUS was introduced to Marcus "MH" H________ of Too Blakk Too Strong were he quickly recognized the chemistry and talent of these two young men. MH love for there mixtape entitled " Thug Romance" made him want to work with PHAMOUS even more. Joints like "Living Big", "Walk Wit It", and "R&B Chic" set PHAMOUS apart by displaying their versatility to capture not only there peers but the adults. Their passion for music was so deep rooted, MH quickly started promoting and introducing PHAMOUS to promotos, dj's, artist, and producers to let the world know we got something you need to hear! PHAMOUS scored a major photo shoot with Third Coast Clothing Companyin Aug. 08'. After working on several other projects and performances with artist like Young Mosez, ML, Glacier Boy, Big Money(Fat Pocket Ent.), and J-Skillz, it was time to head back to the studio to start their own project. After a couple of weeks of obtaining tracks and writing, the hit single "She's A Party Girl" feat,. Ballistiq and produced by Camden was ready for the streets and clubs. This will be the hottest single of 2009.
