The Getaway Sloths

About Me

The Getaway Sloths rose from the dust of Barstow sometime in the 1990's. The original members, Mike and Brian, went through numerous lineup changes before recruiting Kris Reilly and Kris Comeaux to play in the band sometime around 1999. They made two self-released EP's, "Transexual Bestiality" and "Deface-ist." The first EP was fast-paced punk, but "Deface-ist" (2001) was a departure toward the experimental/hardcore realm. About a year after recording "Deface-ist," the group fell apart and went on a long hiatus that never ended. Kris C. became the drummer and a co-songwriter for the band Lorene Drive. He's also an engineer at Alder St. Recorders. Mike owns the studio, and Kris R. helps out whenever he can get away from his day job. The band is permanently defunct, but we hope you will stop by from time to time and enjoy these tunes.
