(And even though he's not in the picture, Anthony WILL be there). So bring everyone you know and help make this the most amazing show ever!!
New York City is the most unforgiving of places; and to survive, let alone thrive, it doesn't take perseverence or luck - it takes Nerve!
What started as weekend fun for these guys in early 1997 turned to full blown addiction about 3 years down the line when The Nerve! started headlining shows at such esteemed NY venues as CBGB and Continental; and joining forces with producer Ron Thal (a.k.a. Bumblefoot) has created a force that can't be stopped by any detox in the world.
They have independently released two previous album length CDs, ("All We Want Is Fun" and "Go With Your Gut") an EP, ("The Nerve!" 6 songs) three videos, and have appeared on numerous TV shows including Seize the Night in Japan. They've developed a large following of diehard fans so committed they helped pay for the pressing of their greatly anticipated 3rd release!
Having been the subject of a feature article in Time Out NY, as well as being covered in New York Newsday, Bass Player Magazine, and The Village Voice, The Nerve! has created enough buzz to gain the interest of Heyday Records (respected home of David J. of Bauhaus/Love & Rockets and Marty Wilson-Piper of The Church).
With the help and support of Heyday they are now taking their brand of refreshingly melodic, straight ahead rock and roll to venues up and down the east coast. The new self-titled CD bares the sophisticated side of these one time whimsical punks.
With Anthony of Good Grief recently joining behind the drumkit, and Randy and Joe home from a month of touring Europe with Bumblefoot, the band feels polished and determined as ever to show you what they're made of.
