I am here for Friends

About Me

Usually friendly. An obsessively serious runner. If not at my job, or eating or sleeping, I am probably running. I've run seven marathons, including Boston. I've run two "sub3" marathons, the last one at 2:57:30. I have now completed three 50-mile ultramarathons, two of them in under seven hours. I came in 4th place overall in the 2007 Lakefront 50/50. It sounds so sappy, but I just love being outdoors SO much, it's hard for me to go back indoors at times. Seriously.I am a commercial artist by trade, (illustrator/retoucher/3D) for a healthcare marketing agency. Mostly I work on a lot of ads for moisturizers and anesthetics. I attended school as a photography and 3d graphics major. I enjoy reading artist monographs and biographies. I would have been as happy if I was an art history major, but back in school I was certain I'd become a fashion photographer. I know. Duh...Musically, I appreciate various mixtures of jazz, soul and electronica , that's what I listen to most often. I also enjoy classic rock, folk, Japanese pop and Swedish pop music and soundtracks. I've got a Rhodes piano to infuse that nice mellow 70's pop sound into the music I write and record... I also write poetry and short stories that few will ever see. I seldom have time for television, (for serious), but I just got cable, so hopefully I stick to that history channel, right?! I listen to (and watch) a heck of a lot of NPR/PRI/BBC news. I read the Economist, but sometimes I like to look at the pictures too.I'm okay at Photoshop.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Runners, Swedes, healthy eaters, people who sleep. People who are not crass or insincere to a boring degree. Vegetarians. Sweet people. Lovely people. Artists. Artists who are athletic. Nerds, lanky skinny nerds. Total dorks who run and eat healthy. People who are bohemian, but not to the extent that they don't bathe. Crafty thrifty folks with runaway creativity. Creative lanky nerds who wear glasses. Bookish friendly thrifty bohemian people with nice dispositions. People who read and write. Poets. Woodworkers. People who are fed up with our government . People who exude that cool vibe and are more or less confident. People who hug. People who often express their appreciation for other people and things. Expressive people. Redundant fools. Redundant fools. Lovers. All-American people. People who speed pack. People who love the outdoors. Ex-members of the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. Also on Friendster: http://www.friendster.com/hagstrom
