On January 12th 1982 John Pich was born in Salt Lake City, Utah. His mother and father, who had recently immigrated to America escaping a Khmer Rouge Concentration Camp with the help of U.S. troops, celebrated the birth of their only surviving son. After witnessing many close family relatives being murdered during the reign of the evil dictator Pol-Pot, and having their previous child pass away in Cambodia, his birth and his survival meant even more to them under these circumstances.
When he was barely one month old, his parents decided to relocate to South Bend, Indiana in search of better job opportunities. During his early childhood years his parents noticed something special about him and music. Besides the fact that he was unable to sleep at night without hearing his favorite LP's, it seems as if their son just couldn't get enough of mimicking and listening to his favorite music artists.
At the age of 8 he began associating himself with the wrong crowd of kids in his neighborhood. Although he committed many regrettable mistakes within the many years to come, one mistake he will never regret was stealing a cassette tape titled "Kool Rap" from a local 7-11 convenience store. The cassette tape featured a song by Eazy E. titled "Eazy Duz It". Addicted to Eazy E's distinct voice and the heavy bass driven beat, this was the song that convinced him to pursue a career in Rap music.
Since then he has continued his growth in developing his own sound by constantly experimenting with different styles of writing to find a niche. Although growing up he frequently competed in various freestyle battle competitions throughout Northern Indiana including having an undefeated record which included him competing on March 25th, 2006 at the Twista and Lupe Fiasco "H.I.N." concert in Chicago defeating 15 competitors in front of 10,000 people for the XM Satellite Radio Freestyle Championship. He eventually decided to write songs that dealt with more realistic subjects and personal emotions that he felt others could relate to. Since then, included with consistent mixtape support from The Black Wall Street's DJ Haze, Nu Jerzey Devil, DJ Capcom, and The Real DJ's DJ Espee, he's hit the mixtape circuit hard with 250,000 downloads worldwide and plans to release his official debut album in late 2009.
