About Me

Born and raised in a little town of 100 people. I grew up musically with all of my summer people (turning the town into a bustling burb of 1500) bringing me the freshest tracks outta toronto, ottawa, montreal and the states. In 92-93 I broke into the native tongue takeover and became immersed in hip-hop culture. Doing little school dances with cd players and a minidisc (yeah one of the first in canada! saved up all my money for that one). I realised that I wasn't really djing. At age 16 I moved to Montreal. Suddenly I got turned on by the power of the (RAVE) and electronic music. I finally fully understood what djing really was. I got my first belt driven turntables from a car boot sale and began to take action. I kept wanting to be a part of the movement of making people dance to the mix of jazz, funk, soul, breaks, house, dnb and hip-hop music that I was now addicted to.. Nowadays, Djing wyse, I love the ((back in the day)) "journey" style of djing with funk and energy. Production wyse I'm always on a quest to do everything from broken beat, downtempo, hip-hop, house and everything in between.

My Interests

Music:

Influences: This is tough! It could be a very long list because I have been influenced by many people. Loving musicians is one thing and being influenced production wise is another. So i'll stick to that. First off (JAZZ)... Waaaay too many people to write down, but in my opinion it's jazz that has influenced us all (sampled music)... I believe it is the basis for everything house producers do. (FUNK and DISCO)same as above (HIP-HOP) dj premier, no id, timbaland, dj quik, dj shadow, dust brothers, dre, eric sermon, kanye west, el-p, rjd2, cut chemist (HOUSE) derrick carter(obligatory), dj harvey, basement jaxx, blaze, miguel migs, dubtribe sound system, hardkiss, fred everything, sneak, st germain, pepe bradock, inland knights, jacob london, joey youngman, natural rhythm, herbert, chuck love, freeform five(anu), jazzanova, moloko, todd edwards, gene farris, h-foundation, etc. etc.
Sounds Like: Risin like we foam, get it from the dome// I'm from where the fat beats stretch for mad blocks// We can get a kit, without, no thread// Feelin funky beats go straight, to the head// Fall into a club, dig on what we love// It be past six, before we reach bed
