.....Fine Artist, Creative Designer, and Art Director, James Vogel has taken on a wide array of esteemed projects. He graduated from Columbus College of Art and Design with a bachelor of fine arts degree before running away with a traveling circus that brought him to New York City. He has been an active painter, illustrator, and sculptor in the nine years that he has resided in New York. James Has designed and built incredible costumes and props for many musician’s stage and video productions, such as Bette Midler, Madonna, Lou Reed, and Iggy Pop. He has fabricated for the Macy’s Parade for the past eight years and has displayed his sculpture for Sax Fifth Avenue window displays. His work appears in many Broadway shows such as Avenue Q, Lion King, Little Shop of Horrors, and Tarzan. James worked with the Jim Henson Company during which time he worked on the construction of Big Bird. He has worked with many dance companies such as Michael Mao, Baryshnikov, Boston Ballet, and The New York City Opera. His foray into motion pictures has included animatronics, special effects, and art direction. James is most passionate about event production and when asked he declares that his profession has not been invented yet.
